Max Feagai might be a former Dolphin, but the Titans centre is keen to explore unchartered waters this week against his old side.
Sunday's Sunshine Showdown will be the 25-year-old's first South East Queensland derby, having never faced off against the Broncos or Titans in his Redcliffe tenure.
But the Gold Coast new recruit has already experienced the phenomenon of facing his former club and now wants to treat this week like any other away game despite previously sharing the locker room with the opposition.
"We already played [the Dolphins] in the trial, which was pretty funny seeing the boys... but it's just another week and another team in front of us," Feagai said.
"It'll be good running out against them and most of them will be back compared to the trial.
"I'm just excited to play them again."

Cheekily suggesting he'll target good friend Kulikefu Finefeuiaki who happens to be on the same side as Feagai this Sunday, the outside back has nothing but praise for his former club after making the switch in the off-season for a better opportunity to play consistent first grade.
"They've got an awesome team and their backline is pretty stacked," he said.
"There's nothing I have against them and am still mates with a lot of those boys.
"I'm just keen to face them."
'We're focusing on ourselves after Round 1': Feagai
Hungry to put their disappointing Round 1 loss behind them, Josh Hannay's focus has been primarily on the team itself and amplifying their attitude as opposed to the Dolphins, who will be equally motivated after their 40-30 loss to the Rabbitohs.
"Our focus has been building the intensity throughout this week," Feagai said.
"We missed the mark over the weekend, but we're looking past last week and moving onto this week now.
"I'd also expect them to be firing, but we aren't focussed too much on them, more on ourselves after a disappointing Round 1.
"We need to concentrate more about what we're going to do."
