Hippi to debut as one of seven Titans in Origin opener

Gold Coast rising star Phoenix-Raine Hippi will make her State of Origin debut, earning selection for Game I at McDonald Jones Stadium next Thursday night.

The 19-year-old is one of six Titans named in Queensland’s squad for the 2026 Ampol Women’s State of Origin series, alongside Samoa young guns Ivana Lolesio and Destiny Mino-Sinapati, who have been included on the extended bench.

A strong Maroons core remains, headlined by experienced Titans trio Lauren Brown, Jessika Elliston and Sienna Lofipo as Queensland prepares for the series opener in Newcastle.

Titans strike weapon Jaime Chapman has locked in her spot in John Strange’s Westpac NSW Blues squad after a standout performance in last year’s series win.
