Round 10 team: Hannay bloods two new debutants for Chooks clash
Josh Hannay is set to hand two fresh faces their NRL debuts as the Titans travel to Gosford to face the Roosters on Friday night.
Gold Coast pathways prospect Zane Harrison will be a highly-anticipated inclusion in the halves, earning his first grade opportunity after impressing in the pre-season and early stages of Hostplus Cup.
The Northern Rivers junior has been a Titan since age 15 and boasts an impressive rugby league resume, steering Palm Beach Currumbin to Queensland and National Schoolboy Cup success in 2024. The 20-year-old also previously represented New South Wales in the Under 19 Origin and has been a standout for the Tweed Seagulls in five appearances this season.
New recruit Jensen Taumoepeau will also play his first NRL match coming from Canberra, replacing Siale Faeamani on the wing after he sustained a MCL strain against the Raiders.
Up front, Hannay has made a number of changes to the forward pack.
Oliver Pascoe has been promoted to start in the No. 9 jersey with Sam Verrills dropping to the extended bench, whilst Chris Randall shifts to the edge and Cooper Bai will start at lock. The reshuffle pushes Arama Hau to the bench, joining Josh Patston who has been recalled to the 17.
Kick-off is at 6pm on Friday at Polytec Stadium, Gosford.
