Rising NRLW forward recommits to Titans till '27

The Titans’ NRLW squad has been further bolstered with rising forward Takoda Thompson recommitting to the end of the 2027 season.

Making 10 appearances last season in her debut year, the Queensland Under 19 star started on five occasions in her maiden campaign and showed her versatility, playing a multitude of positions in the forward pack.

The soon to be 20-year-old is a product of the club’s pathways system, originally part of the Titans’ female academy before her quick rise to the NRLW in 2025, joining the Gold Coast following a stellar junior career on the Sunshine Coast.

Titans NRLW coach Karyn Murphy said retaining Thompson was an important investment in the club’s future.

"Takoda is one of our brightest NRLW prospects rising through the ranks," she said.

"She showed great composure in her debut season, stepping up in a number of positions when opportunities came her way and she has proven she can compete alongside some of the league’s best female players.

"One of her greatest strengths is her immense work ethic and application to a number of our game’s effort areas, especially in defence.

"We’re pleased to secure Takoda until the end of the 2027 season as one of our next generation players hungry to deliver success for the Gold Coast."
