Titans shine in sweeping Sunday success

A blockbuster double-header at home capped a remarkable weekend for the Gold Coast Titans, with the club celebrating five victories across their rugby league and netball fixtures.

The NRL and NRLW sides lit up Cbus Super Stadium on Sunday, delivering back-to-back wins in front of more than 15,000 fans on the Coast.

The women made club history with a record-breaking 50-point haul against the Parramatta Eels, securing their biggest-ever winning margin in a dominant daytime display.

The celebrations continued when the Titans men took centre stage, motivated by a home crowd to overcome the Manly Sea Eagles 38-32.

Gold Coast's Under 21 side produced one of the biggest comebacks of the NRLQ season, overturning a 20-point deficit to defeat the ladder-leading Cowboys 40-30 and strip them of their top-of-the-table position.

The club's netball teams also enjoyed success, with the Sapphire side defeating the Carina Tigers 74-47, while the Ruby team edged out the same opposition in a thrilling 53-51 contest at Nissan Arena.

Titans CEO Steve Mitchell shared his pride in the club's performance.

"It was a fantastic weekend for the Titans and a reflection of the hard work taking place across every level of our club," Mitchell said.

"To record five wins across both rugby league and netball programs, highlighted by a historic NRLW result and another NRL victory at home, is something all of our players, staff and supporters can be proud of.

"Success like this is built on consistency, commitment and a strong club culture, and it's pleasing to see those qualities being rewarded on the field.

"Sunday isn’t the first time we’ve had wins across all our programs on one weekend but we look forward to this becoming more and more regular as we make our communities proud by uniting them with success."

The Titans now turn their attention to this week's busy away schedule, aiming to build on another weekend of success across the club.
