Blockbuster matchups await in Kinetic Titans Schools League deciders
Some of best school rugby league talent from across South East Queensland will converge on Owen Park on Monday as the 2026 Kinetic Titans Schools League deciders take centre stage.
The grand final day also marks a significant milestone for the competition, celebrating the 20th season of the Kinetic Titans Schools League.
Since its inception in 2006, the competition has become Australia's largest regional school rugby league competition, producing countless representative players while creating memorable experiences for thousands of students across South East Queensland.
After another record-breaking season featuring thousands of students from across the Gold Coast, Logan, Scenic Rim and Northern Rivers; six premiers will be crowned in what promises to be an unforgettable day of school rugby league.
The action begins with the Year 7/8 Titans Cup Boys decider before building to the showcase event of the day – the Titans Cup Open Boys grand final between perennial powerhouse Marymount College and newcomers Trinity College.
Marymount will be chasing a remarkable ninth Titans Cup title in the past 11 years, but they'll face a new challenge against Trinity College, who have reached the Division 1 decider in their first season at the elite level.
Led by former NRL premiership winner and Maroons and Kangaroos captain Cameron Smith, Marymount will be looking to continue the incredible legacy established under former coach Jason Hamilton.
The girls' competitions are equally compelling, with Keebra Park State High School entering both the Year 7/8 and Year 9/10 Titans Cup grand finals undefeated.
After suffering heartbreaking defeats in both grand finals last season despite unbeaten campaigns, Keebra will be determined to go one better under the guidance of girls rugby league academy coordinator Daniel Schwass and Australian Schoolgirls head coach Elle Moss.
Standing in their way is Mabel Park State High School, who stunned Keebra to claim the Year 7/8 title in 2025 and will be aiming to defend their crown.
The two schools have established one of the competition's fiercest rivalries, with Mabel Park also earning a place in the Year 9/10 decider after their only defeat of the season came against Keebra.
The Titans Challenge Open Boys grand final sees St Michael's College enter undefeated after an outstanding campaign. Fresh from an impressive Confraternity Carnival, they will be chasing their first Kinetic Titans Schools League premiership since 2016 when they meet St James College.
Their grand final appearance has also secured qualification for the NRL Schoolboy Trophy South East Queensland Finals later this year.
