Locked in: Titans Indigenous stars ready to showcase culture at home
Josh Hannay has kept his side unchanged leading into their Cowboys clash with the Titans to have three Indigenous representatives helping kickstart a special fortnight in the NRL.
Celebrating the myriad of past and present First Nations players who shine a spotlight on their culture and heritage each week across rugby league; Jayden Campbell (Kamilaroi), Oliver Pascoe (Ngemba) and Josh Patston (Bundjalung) will proudly represent their mobs with pride in the first game of Indigenous Round.
"It's a special round for Patto, Ollie and myself, and for a lot of the Indigenous players in the NRL too," Campbell said.
"It's a chance to represent our family and culture, but also the community that we live in.
"I'm very excited to be part of such a proud round."
Hosting North Queensland on Kombumerri Country, the home side will wear a specially-designed jersey by local artist Christine Slabb, showcasing the club's connection to country, community, culture and each other.
Kick-off is at 7.50pm on Thursday at Cbus Super Stadium, Gold Coast.
