20 seasons strong: 2026 Kinetic Titans Schools League
The 2026 Kinetic Titans Schools League has marked two decades of school rugby league on the Gold Coast, with a landmark season showcasing the continued growth of the competition both on and off the field.
What began as a grassroots initiative in 2006 has grown into Australia’s largest regional school-based rugby league competition, with its 20th season bringing 26 weeks of competition to a close across 15 divisions and 18 Grand Finals spanning schoolboy and schoolgirl competitions.
Engaging a record-breaking 4,055 students across 160 teams, 41 schools across Gold Coast, Logan, Ipswich, Brisbane, Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast.
The desire for more female school rugby league was paramount, with 1,672 girls participating in 2026. The largest growth area being the our development schools participating in the Titans Challenge Karyn Murphy Cup. With 135 games played across various gala days in a weather affect schedule, the grand finals showcased some up and coming talent.

The Titans Cup and Open Boys Challenge grand finals delivered a fitting finish to the 20th season, with five of the six deciders settled by six points or less. Across a day of tight contests, standout performances and plenty of drama, teams experienced the highs of premiership success and the heartbreak of falling just short.

The closeness of the results reflected the quality and competitiveness of the competition, with the Year 9/10 Boys grand final ending with a golden point finish to separate Marymount College and Bremer State High School.
The day also provided a celebration of the people who continue to make the Kinetic Titans Schools League what it is, with strong support from schools, families and the wider rugby league community creating an electric atmosphere around the grounds.
The Titans National Schoolgirl Cup expanded to ten Tier 1 schools from across South-East Queensland in 2026, with teams split across five pools in the competition's largest elite format to date.
Having produced the past four National Schoolgirl Cup Champions - Marsden SHS (2022), Mabel Park SHS (2023), Ipswich SHS (2024) and Marsden SHS (2025) - the Titans National Schoolgirl Cup continues to be recognised as the premier schoolgirl rugby league competition in Australia.
The 2026 season also featured a repeat of the 2025 Grand Final, with Keebra Park SHS reversing the previous year's result to claim the 2026 Titans National Schoolgirl Cup title in a convincing victory over Marsden SHS. Keebra Park now progress to the QLD state final to take on Trinity Bay, who won the Cowboys vs. Dolphins National Schoolgirl Cup final.
