The Titans wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the rugby league community following Saturday’s emotional clash against the Rabbitohs, confirming over $225,000 has been raised for Jai Arrow so far from the weekend’s initiatives.
As the final day dawns to purchase a limited edition Stand with Jai jersey - worn in the clash that saw the Gold Coast junior lead South Sydney onto the field in a moving return against his former club - the specially-designed playing kit has been a hugely popular among fans eager to show their support and can still be purchased via the Titans Shop.
Already over $130,000 has been raised through jersey sales thanks to major apparel partner Dynasty Sport, who have absorbed all production costs to allow 100% of proceeds to go directly to the Family of League's official fundraiser - that number expecting to rise even further at the completion of the pre-order window at 11.59pm on Tuesday.
On game day, staggering support in the 50-50 charity raffle and contributions from The Lottery Office and Chempro also further boosted the fundraising efforts.
Match-worn jerseys are now currently available for auction via Official Memorabilia - these items open to be bid on until 7pm Thursday.
"What we witnessed on Saturday was simply extraordinary and arguably one of the most powerful moments we have seen in Australian sport," Titans CEO Steve Mitchell said.
"Jai's courageous fight is both humbling and inspiring and will continue with the entire community remaining in his corner, proud to watch him notch up a century with South Sydney on Friday after returning to the field at home last weekend."
Friday's luncheon featuring Titans coach Josh Hannay, Rabbitohs coach Wayne Bennett and Broncos coach Michael Maguire at Arrow’s junior club Burleigh Bears saw a further $100,000 raised for MND Queensland.
It brings the combined tally from both days to over $325,000 with the potential for that figure to be surpassed in the coming days.
