Local boy Cameron Cullen scored a good individual try on debut yesterday but didn't get the victory that Kane Elgey achieved at Cronulla last year.
It was ironic that the pair, former Palm Beach Currumbin high students and Australian Schoolboys, would debut at the same stadium a year apart.
Cullo had family and a big contingent of mates head down from the Gold Coast to watch his first match in the NRL.
