The Aquis Gold Coast Titans today officially unveiled the club's new purpose-built training and administration centre at Parkwood, which will be known as the TFH Hire High Performance Centre.
This morning's unveiling of the $25m dollar development is part of the transformation of the site into one of the best sporting and entertainment precincts in Australia, to be known as “Parkwood Village – Home of the Gold Coast Titans”.
Chair of the Aquis Gold Coast Titans, Rebecca Frizelle, CEO Graham Annesley and head coach Neil Henry were joined by NRL Chief Executive, Todd Greenberg, Mayor of the City of Gold Coast, Councillor Tom Tate and Managing Director of Parkwood Village, Luke Altschwager, for the official unveiling.
“This is one of the most significant positive steps for our club in our ten-year history," Titans CEO Graham Annesley said at this morning's unveiling.
“Not only do our staff and players benefit from outstanding facilities, but our loyal members, sponsors and corporate partners also automatically benefit from our partnership with Parkwood Village.
"We turned the first sod on this project in January and to now be here, utilising these world-class facilities really is a significant step forward for our club.
“To have a purpose-built facility housing our administration, coaching and specialist medical staff just metres from our training field as part of a multifaceted community club, is not only a great outcome operationally, but it just makes perfect business sense as the Titans continue to grow and evolve.”
As well as providing a modern office environment for staff, players will have access to indoor training courts, aqua therapy, a fully-equipped gymnasium, an altitude chamber, and dedicated change-room facilities.
The project also includes a huge indoor sports centre while the 25 metre three-lane lap pool will offer learn-to-swim classes with separate hydrotherapy baths.
Parkwood Village Managing Director Luke Altschwager said: “It's a significant step forward for our redevelopment project which is now the permanent home of the Aquis Gold Coast Titans."
"The Titans new home now houses a best practice high performance and administration centre delivering facilities at the forefront of innovation, sports science and professionalism in the National Rugby League competition."
TFH Hire has been involved with the club as a sponsor since 2014 and today announced a three-year extension of their chest plate sponsorship of the Titans jersey, and the naming rights to the High Performance Centre, also for three years.
Founder of TFH Hire, Owen Thomas, said the company was thrilled to see the TFH Hire High Performance Centre officially opened this morning.
"TFH Hire is the largest privately family owned and operated temporary fencing supplier in Australia and a very proud sponsor of the Titans," she said.
"The opening of the TFH Hire High Performance Centre signifies a new chapter in the history of this club.
"Having all the club's facilities under the one roof, and built to a world-class standard will help this club to grow on the Gold Coast and we look forward to continuing our support alongside the Gold Coast Titans and the Gold Coast community."
Titans fans are invited to join the playing squad this Saturday, 3rd December, when the TFH Hire High Performance Centre will be open for free public tours between 1-4pm as part of the Parkwood Village Open Day.
