The TFH Gold Cost Titans can today announce the release of Karl Lawton, effective immediately.
Lawton has been given an opportunity at the New Zealand Warriors on a three-year contract (including 2018) and believes it is the best opportunity for him to secure a regular NRL spot.
“It’s disappointing to see Karl depart the club as he is a local product but we couldn’t stand in the way of an opportunity for him to play regular first grade,” Head Coach Garth Brennan said.
“Karl is a likable guy amongst the group and I know a lot of us will miss him. We wish him all the best for the future at his new club.”
