CARTWRIGHT: I want to earn the respect of fans

Bryce Cartwright will this weekend pull on a Titans jersey for the first of what all members and fans hope is a successful career on the Gold Coast.

The lock forward spoke with media ahead of the round one fixture against the Raiders at Cbus Super Stadium and had some strong comments to make about his new home, the members and fans, as well as the respect he wants to earn from everyone.

“I just want to earn the respect of the fans and my team-mates here and just play some good footy. I want to repay the faith after signing me for four years and I just want to get out there and play some good footy,” Cartwright said.

The 23-year-old has had a long relationship with Coach Garth Brennan and the newly appointed Coach just wants everyone to give Cartwright some time.

"Bryce has only been here for a short period and is still working in with his new team-mates," he said. "That's why i played him in both trials, I wanted to ease him into it.

"He'll continue to work hard we should see the combinations build with the rest of the side."
