A massive $30,000 donation from The Coghlan Group has seen the Titans Community Kick-In fundraising appeal blast past its target of $50,000 after only five weeks of the campaign.
Titans CEO Steve Mitchell and club legend Preston Campbell visited the breakfast team at radio partners 102.9 Hot Tomato this morning and revealed that one of the club’s longest and proudest supporters – The Coghlan Group – had reaffirmed their company’s commitment to the Gold Coast community with a $30,000 donation to the Titans Community Kick-In.
“This morning Dave and Doug Coghlan from The Coghlan Group – who have been long-time and founding supporters of the club since its inception, and have been in business since 1958 – they have actually made a contribution pledge of $30,000 to support the Leaguability program, which is our rugby league program around our Physical Disabilities Rugby League team,” Mitchell said.
“The Coghlans have been phenomenal supporters of us, and they have made that incredible pledge of $30,000 for the Titans Community Kick-In to support that program.
“It is typical for these guys. They do bitumen spraying, real estate, mortgage lending, but their heart and soul is in the community.
“They run a big business and they are here to support (the Titans PDRL team), and give these guys the chance to compete and improve the quality of their lives. That is the Coghlans, front and centre.”
The Titans Community Kick-In is a fundraising initiative being run in conjunction with our radio partners 102.9 Hot Tomato to raise money for the people in our community that need our help, and also for the people and charities that work so hard to care for them.
The incredible generosity of The Coghlan Group has seen Titans Community Kick-In exceed its original fundraising target of $50,000, with all the money raised going directly to the local schools, clubs, charities, programs and community organisations funded by the Titans Community Foundation.
A new target of $60,000 has been set for the final two weeks of the Titans Community Kick-In.
