Week one has been run and done with the playing group being put through their paces at the Titans High Performance Centre.

Head of Performance Dan Ferris has noticed a new hunger and motivation amongst the group with all players eager to be at their best come March 13 when the Titans take on the Raiders in Round 1 of the 2020 season.

“They’re good. It’s been exciting,” Ferris said on the return.

“It’s obviously a fresh start anytime you bring in a new Coach and coaching staff.

“We’ve got a pretty similar playing group with a few additions that bring some energy to the group.”

That pre-Christmas training block is extremely difficult for all players and whilst new Coach Justin Holbrook has indicated that there will be no surprises, what he does expect is continuous hard work and he expects the entire group to turn up to training ready to give it their all each and every day.

Ferris is in charge of ensuring all players work hard and was impressed with how the group returned from their off-season break.

“We’ve done some testing and put the plan in place,” Ferris added.

“The guys returned in pretty good shape so that shows they’re keen to get to work.

“We’ll increase the training loads, get some fundamentals in place, get some strength and conditioning in and then we ramp it up leading into Christmas.”
