Holbrook Sticks With Same 17 As Titans Size Up South Sydney

Titans coach Justin Holbrook has named an unchanged 17 for Saturday’s clash with the Rabbitohs in Sydney, rewarding the squad who delivered the Gold Coast their first win of the NRL season last weekend against the Wests Tigers.

After being called up as part of a late reshuffle before the Tigers game, Young Tonumaipea has retained his place in the centres after excelling in his Titans debut in the 28-23 win at Suncorp Stadium.

Phillip Sami, who scored the match-winning try at Suncorp Stadium, keeps the fullback’s job for another week after an excellent display, with the ultra-impressive Brian Kelly and Anthony Don again on the wings.

The only new face for the Titans in the squad named to take on the Rabbitohs is the inclusion of Beau Fermor on an extended eight-man bench.

Should he take the field at Bankwest Stadium, 22-year-old Fermor will make his NRL and Club debut as Titan No.156.

The Dalby Devils junior joined the Titans in January from the Newcastle Knights, where he was very highly regarded, but working his way through rehab after a knee reconstruction.

A former Melbourne Storm player and Queensland Under-20s representative, Fermor is now fully fit and pressing for a chance to make his debut.
