What’s your junior club?

I didn’t play rugby league growing up, only a few games here and there. In New Zealand I played Union and I was fortunate enough to get a scholarship to St Kentigern college and come through their system and I’m forever grateful for that opportunity.

Favourite rugby league moment so far?

It has to be my NRL debut on ANZAC day against the Storm. We didn’t win that game but it was a dream turned into a reality. Especially as a young Maori boy growing up, putting on that Warriors  jersey was surreal.

What are your hobbies outside of footy?

I love playing video games with friends and family but looking after my boy is a full time job outside of footy.

Tell us about your family…

I’m a new dad so I’m learning off the field as much as I am on it.  We’ve got another baby boy due in April.  I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Which players are you most looking forward to playing with at the Titans?

I’m keen just to be a part of the unit as a whole. I love to make new mates and it’s going to be cool to see the differences and similarities of different players and how they train and play etc.

Which of the current Titans was the toughest to play (when you were at Warriors)?

Brian Kelly is a strong dude man, I remember marking up against him in 2019 and he made me look silly a couple times and threw me into the grandstand at one point.

What do you love about the Gold Coast?

I haven’t really been there except to play. It’s always been perceived to be sunny and stuff and I guess I might have to visit some of the Village Roadshow theme parks “for the kids”.

What’s your goal for 2021?

I want to be playing and I just want to be someone my kids are proud to call their dad.
