After starring on debut for Queensland in State of Origin Game One, Titans fullback AJ Brimson has been ruled out of the remainder of the series with a foot injury.

The 22-year-old impressed in his first game for the Maroons, scoring a try to start Queensland’s second half fightback against the Blues.

Maroons team doctor Matt Hislop confirmed that Brimson injured his foot late in the game.

“Scans confirmed a lisfranc ligament injury which will rule AJ out of the rest of the series,” Hislop said.

The good news is Brimson is expected to return to training with the Titans during the pre-season and will be fit to play in Round One of the 2021 season.
