With pre-season training now well underway, Titans Head of Performance Klint Hoare says there'll be a few more faces join the main squad in the coming weeks.

David Fifita, who is returning from an ankle injury, is recovering nicely and expected to return to full training shortly.

"Dave's fast-tracking," Hoare said.

"He's going along nicely.

"He’s getting some really good strength in the gym but out on the field where it is all happening he is now week two in his return to full training and next week he’ll re-enter the skills."

Jai Whitbread has already returned to the field, with the forward progressing nicely as he also returns from an ankle complaint.

“Whitty is going really well," Hoare said.

"He is now week two back into full training.

"We’ve still got to modify his load to some extent, him and Jaimin Jolliffe, but they’re ripping and tearing."

The other player on the way back from post-season surgery is Ash Taylor, with the five-eighth having had both hip and wrist issues fixed.

“Ash is encouraging for the whole squad, the coaching staff and the Club," Hoare said.

"We saw him re-enter the field on Monday to do some return to training run programs."

AJ Brimson's recovery from a foot injury sustained in the State of Origin series remains ongoing, while his Queensland team-mates Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, Phillip Sami and Moeaki Fotuaika will be the last to return to pre-season training.
