The Gold Coast Titans are excited to welcome Neumann Steel, with the manufacturing company joining the NRL Club as a Supporting Partner of the Titans Community Program (Titans Together).

Celebrating 50 years in business in 2020, Neumann Steel has played a part in in the construction of the Gold Coast, supplying steel for major projects including Q1 and the city’s light rail system.

Kathy Bartley, General Manager of Neumann Steel, says the Titans Together program best reflects their company values.

“The Neumann’s have always been a very integral part of the Gold Coast community,” Bartley said.

“They’ve not only helped to build structures but they’ve helped to build communities.

“For us it is very important to make sure our associations and partnership are aligned with our core values and of course the Titans fit straight in with that.”

Titans Chairman Dennis Watt says Neumann Steel have built from their primary site at Currumbin to have business spanning the majority of Australia’s East Coast.

He says it is important to have the right company with similar values aligned to the work that the Titans are doing within the community.

“It is a great partnership and a great alignment,” Watt said.

“Neumann Steel have got a well-deserved reputation for investing in their community and investing in their people.

“They’ve actually laid down a lot of the infrastructure here on the Gold Coast and in South East Queensland and Neumann Steel can say that to a significant degree that they’ve helped build this city.

“We want to join with them to help inspire this city and beyond.”

Neumann Steel’s backing will bolster the club’s outreach at a time when communities are being challenged significantly.

Despite a COVID-19 affected year, Titans Together has continued to support local initiatives across social inclusion, schools and sporting participation and Indigenous reconciliation.
