This is Corey Thompson's first pre-season as a Titan, but he says it feels like he has been part of the squad for a long time.

Joining the Gold Coast side mid-way through the 2020 season, Thompson says he has already built strong combinations and friendships with his Titans team-mates.

"I was new last season and it is so crazy to think how quickly I gelled," Thompson said.

"There are no egos here, everyone welcomes everyone with open arms and you are a part of the team from day one.

"All of the boys that have arrived for pre-season have gelled quickly and it is like they've been here for years."

One of those new arrivals is David Fifita, someone who Thompson says he has already clicked with.

"We get along really well, he is a cool guy and we have the same sense of humour," Thompson said.

"It is great to play alongside him.

"(the plan is) to give him the early ball and just support him and watch him destroy defence, it is really good to have him on the team."

Thompson says he has some simple goals for 2021, as he looks to lock down a spot in Justin Holbrook's starting side.

"Just to be constant again wherever I play," he said.

"I just want to be in the team no matter where it is.

"I want to have a good pre-season to give myself the best shot I can for next year."
