The Titans have had an early Christmas present with new recruit Tino Fa'asuamaleaui arriving at training earlier than expected.

The Queensland representative has joined the side for the final two days of 2020 so he can hit the ground running when he returns to full training in the new year.

In searing Gold Coast heat and humidity Fa'asuamaleaui eased his way into the group.

"(I am) just getting back into running and speed work but nothing too hectic.

I only did half of the session but it was good to be out there with the boys and run around and kick the ball around." Fa'asuamaleaui said.

His teammates were happy to see Tino arrive at Parkwood (Titans HQ) as well.

"They (his Titans teammates) were happy to see me and I was happy to see them too.

"It was good to get around them and I can't wait to start fully training next year."

"It was good to come in and meet all of the boys again and go out there and do a bit of training with them. It was good fun.

Fa'asuamaleaui linked up with Titans veteran forward Kevin Proctor for the session and was eager to soak in any tips he could provide.

"He (Proctor) was helping me out there and he is the sort of fella that would be good to look up to and learn a lot from.

I will just be nipping at him all the time asking for information and learning a lot." Fa'asuamaleaui said.

Fa'asuamaleaui is the last of the Titans recruits to join the squad and is part of the reason that there is a lot of optimism surrounding the team heading into 2021.

For now though, after one more day of training, Fa'asuamaleaui can make the most of the Gold Coast as he spends a few days getting to know his surrounds and enjoying some of the beaches at his new home with fellow recruit David Fifita.

"I think I will go for a swim with Davey (Fifita)... and he can show me all the spots."
