One is entering his 14th pre-season having played 252 NRL games, the other is just 20 games into his NRL career.

Despite different journeys to their spots in the Titans side, Kevin Proctor and Jamal Fogarty are relishing their leadership roles within the squad.

Coach Justin Holbrook says both key players have been outstanding so far in pre-season training.

"Kevvy has been great since he's come back," Holbrook said.

"He's commented that since he has come back he feels a real excitement from everybody training

"He does a great job of encouraging all of the others to work hard and he sets a good example in that area.

"He is one of the hardest working players in the game so that comes natural to him.

"He's definitely leading by example and we want that to continue."

Fogarty missed the Titans 2020 pre-season, only joining the group after the COVID break before going on to play every game after starting in round three.

"What a great job he did coming in and not having been with us in a pre-season slotting in to the halfback role organising the side," Holbrook said.

"He's been terrific.

"He's come back early, one of the earliest coming back and he's been tremendous.

"He sets a great example on the training field, on and off the field, which is great to have at our Club."

Both players will be candidates for the Titans captaincy in 2021, with former Club Captain Ryan James having departed in the off-season.
