Six Titans named for NRL All Stars clash

Gold Coast Titans players David Fifita, Jamal Fogarty, Tyrone Peachey, Brian Kelly, Patrick Herbert and Kevin Proctor have all been named to play in the NRL All Stars game in Townsville on February 20.

Fifita, Kelly, Fogarty and Peachey will all line-up for the Indigenous All Stars team, while Proctor and Herbert have been named in the Maori All Stars side.

Fogarty will make his debut in the annual fixture, with the 27-year-old named at halfback in Coach Laurie Daley's side.

A proud Mununjali man from Beaudesert, Fogarty keeps the Titans representation in the number seven jersey alive, following on from former team-mate Tyrone Roberts who played in the position in the 2020 fixture.

After being named at lock in last year's game on the Gold Coast, Fifita returns to the Indigenous side in the second row for the clash in Townsville.

Peachey will line up for the Indigenous team for the sixth time, while Proctor will make his third appearance for the Maori side.

Titans centres Brian Kelly and Patrick Herbert will both make their debut in the game and will likely mark up against each other in the clash.

A 25,000-strong capacity crowd is expected for the game at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

The All Stars match will be the first played under the rule changes introduced to the Telstra Premiership this season, which are aimed at keeping the ball in play longer and speeding up the game.
