Titans Coach Justin Holbrook says today's game against the Warriors in Lismore will be about building on combinations within the side ahead of round one.

"We're coming towards the end of pre-season which has been great," Holbrook said.

"Only having the one main trial, we are playing our best side and we're taking it seriously.

"The result doesn't really matter, we will have a lot of interchange as will the Warriors, but the way we play is important and we've got to get the combinations right as this is our only chance heading in to round one."

New recruits David Fifita, Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and Patrick Herbert will all pull on the Titans jersey for the first time in the Lismore clash.

"Having the new recruits join us, we're really forward looking to it kicking off."

With a big supporter and participation base in the Northern Rivers, the Titans are looking forward to playing in front of a "home" crowd at Oakes Oval.

"It's great for us," Holbrook said.

"We've got a big catchment area and we want to make sure we can get there (across the catchment) when we can and it's a great opportunity for us here (in Lismore).

"It's important, this is our area, for the young kids mainly we want them to watch the boys play and hopefully they'll want to grow up and play for the Titans."
