The South Sydney Rabbitohs will land on the Gold Coast this Friday night for the first time in three years and it has fans salivating at the match-ups across the park.
TICKETS: Be at Cbus Super Stadium for NRL ANZAC Round this Friday night
Former Titan Jai Arrow will return to the Coast for the first time since moving clubs in the off-season and the one-time fan-favourite is sure to get a warm welcome from fans and former teammates alike.
The match will form part of the NRL Anzac Round and a pre-game commemoration will take place before the action on the field takes centre stage.
The Rabbitohs will have a re-jigged back three with Latrell Mitchell facing suspension and Josh Mansour out with a torn hamstring and the likely shift of Alex Johnson to the fullback role (teams released at 4pm today).
Titans halves Jamal Fogarty and Ash Taylor are sure to test the Rabbitohs new wingers under the Cbus Super Stadium lights.
One to Watch
The Rabbitohs may lose strike weapon in Mitchell but with Cody Walker back from suspension, he will be the player to watch for the South Sydney side.
When Walker fires, so too do the Bunnies.
With 4 try assists and 5 tries of his own in 2021, the Titans will be on red-alert for the Rabbitohs #6 in and around the attacking red zone.
Key Matchup
With speed to burn in both sets of outside backs, this game will likely be won by which teams set of forwards can lay the best platform for their speed men.
The Titans forward pack will be looking to bounce back from the recent loss to Manly, while the Rabbitohs nearly got outmuscled by the Wests Tigers, so no doubt both packs will be fired up to lay a strong platform for their side early.
An intriguing matchup in particular will be Dave Fifita and Jaydn Su'a, as one of the competitions best defensive players in Su'a comes up against one the games best attacking threats in Fifita, which is sure to provide entertainment all night.
