Titans co-captain Jamal Fogarty joined the Sunday Footy Show on Channel 9 after the club's round nine win against the Wests Tigers.

The panel of Erin Molan, Ruan Sims, Peter Sterling and Brad Fittler spoke to Fogarty after the 36 points to 28 result.

This is your first win in a month, how sweet was it?

"We have had a tough couple of weeks until that game.

"It was good to ease a bit of the pressure from the last month but I think we just need a bit of consistency within our own performance as a team and as individuals."

Can you give us a bit of insight into the coach, Justin Holbrook?

"To me, he reminds me of a school teacher.

"He talks very calm and he is very very easy to approach when needed."

"That style of coaching works well for the majority of our squad and he's got us all on the same page which is good."

You had a different halves partner, no Ash Taylor, how did you find the change of combination with Tanah Boyd?

"We've been training together in patches at training.

"Tanah's best attribute was his running game (against the Tigers).

"He's very energetic and a bit of an energiser bunny for us and I think he played his part brilliantly (against the Tigers) and hopefully we can build on that combo."

What was the thing that made you the most pleased coming out of that game (against the Tigers)?

"The last three weeks our defensive effort has been pretty poor.

"We had a great start against South Sydney and the Brisbane Broncos and we let that slip.

"For us to hold on in the last 15 minutes with them coming back and scoring tries, to be able to stop the last one or two to give us the two points was pleasing."
