158 running metres, 66 post-contact metres and a try on debut is a pretty good night out for Titans debutant, Greg Marzhew, but the hulking winger now wants more and, speaking after full-time, he was just as excited about who he shared the field with as getting his own debut.
RD 13 - Greg Marzhew - On The Field
"It was pretty surreal (his debut) hey, like Jesse Bromwich, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, you've got all these Kiwi internationals that I have watched in the past on the field and now I hope it is one of many more games," Marzhew said.
At 24 years of age, Marzhew is a little older than the average debutant, but he soaked it up like a fresh faced kid.
"It feels good, it has been a long time coming - well it feels that way - unlucky with the loss but a great experience."
With support coming from on and off the field, Marzhew was quick to thank his on-field support in Patrick Herbert and his off-field support - his family and friends.
"Far out, I expected it (his try) with Patty (Herbert) there, when you watch him in training his skills are next level, so really just catch and put the ball down is pretty much all I did, it was all Patty," Marzhew said.
"My support crew have stuck with me for a long time and they have always kept my head up and kept me grounded and to share it with them is a real blessing."
