In his 66 minutes on field against the North Queensland Cowboys, Tino Fa'asuamaleaui notched some impressive numbers.

The Titans lock ran for 175 metres, 75 of those coming post contact, while also making 26 tackles.

“I just sort of focussed on my own job and made sure I got my job right," he said.

The 36 points to 14 win was the Titans third straight victory and talking to Fox Sports post-game, Fa'asuamaleaui said it was an important result in the context of the season.

“It was massive for us, if we didn’t win that it would have been really hard to get into the top eight," he said.

With tests against top four sides South Sydney and Melbourne coming in the next fortnight, Fa'asuamaleaui says the Titans must continue to improve.

“I think they’re very tough opponents and the best in the game," he said about the Rabbitohs and Storm.

“We’ve got to minimise any tries, we are getting better but we’ve got to improve even more.

“It’s good, the boys can attack and score freaky tries and we’ve got to keep that up but we’ve got to keep our defence up there as well."
