There are a thousand reasons why you should secure your seats for the first match of 2022, but we've been able to narrow it down to five:

1. Footy is back!

It feels like an eternity since the Titans ran out at a packed Cbus Super Stadium with the last game at home nearly five months ago... but the great news is, footy returns to Robina!

There's nothing better than hearing the roar when walking in, our parochial Legion beating their drums and the sea of gold and blue erupting when the likes of AJ, JC, Tino and Dave score tries.

The footy also allows for families to spend the day out and best mates to catch-up for a beer.

We can't wait for that special buzz to return to Cbus... can you?

2. The next generation aim to prove themselves

The youth in our squad ooze with talent, as does our Titans pathways system, and they are all eager to prove themselves on the big stage against the Broncos.

Spots are still up for grabs in our final 2022 roster and the top 17 for Round 1 still hasn't been locked in, so this match is a prime opportunity for our next generation of players to impress our coaching staff and fans.

There's also plenty of interest in seeing some of our newest recruits take centre stage; such as Alofi'ana Khan-Pereira, Jojo Fifita, Paul Turner, Shallin Fuller, Tom Weaver, Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui and Isaac Matalevea-Booth.

3. New year, new spine

There's been plenty of talk about our new spine, with three Gold Coast juniors set to steer the Titans around in 2022.

Son of a gun Jayden Campbell will light up at fullback, moving AJ Brimson to five-eighth and Toby Sexton gets his full-time opportunity with the No. 7 jersey on his back.

Head coach Justin Holbrook also confirmed Erin Clark has won the race for hooking duties, completing the fresh, new-look spine to compete for the premiership.

Rumour has it both JC and Toby will be in action against the Broncos and they'll be fit and firing to show the fans what to expect for the rest of the season.

4. Will Adam Reynolds play?

Arguably, the biggest off-season transfer in the NRL. The premiership-winning halfback left the Rabbitohs for Red Hill and rugby league fans across the world are intrigued about whether or not he'll run out with the Broncos on February 19.

The experienced playmaker has 231 games to his name and unlike the Titans, Brisbane still haven't settled on a five-eighth yet. So, second-year coach Kevin Walters will want as much time as possible to build his six and seven.

Kurt Capewell and Ryan James are two other lucrative signings for the Broncos this season and given the depth of our forward pack, it'll be one heck of a contest if those two run out in the maroon and yellow.

5. Bragging rights

We face off against our M1 rivals three times this NRL season - once as a trial and then twice in the Telstra Premiership. Our new women's team also has a date against the defending NRLW premiers on March 19.

It was one win apiece last season, but this year, we want to go for the whitewash... so we need your support!

Brisbane will be just as hungry for early bragging rights as we are, so it's important to get down to Cbus Super Stadium in our Titans colours and cheer our boys home.
