Fifita added to squad for trial against Warriors

Titans speedster Jojo Fifita has been added to the Titans squad for Saturday's trial match against the New Zealand Warriors in Redcliffe.

Fifita has been added to an extended bench for the club's second trial match, replacing Sam McIntyre who will miss the match through injury.

The 19-year-old played his first senior game for the Titans, moving between centre and wing as the Gold Coast drew 26-all with the Brisbane Broncos in the first week of trial games.

Fifita marked Broncos centre Kotoni Staggs and was among a host of young Titans that impressed in the match at Cbus Super Stadium.

In an 80-minute performances, Fifita notched 11 runs, one line break and made 117 metres as he held his own against his experienced opponent.

He also set up winger Treymain Spry for a length of the field try.

Spry with a long-range effort

A number of first-choice Titans return for Saturday's trial, with captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui joining fellow representative players David Fifita, Moeaki Fotuaika and AJ Brimson in the Titans squad.

The race between the Titans forwards to secure a round one spot will continue, with Jaimin Jolliffe, Sam Lisone, Herman Ese'ese, Jarrod Wallace and Kevin Proctor to all play in the match.
