Injury update: Evania Pelite

The Gold Coast Titans can confirm star back Evania Pelite will be unavailable for selection for this weekend's clash after succumbing to an ankle injury in last Saturday's win against the Broncos.

The 26-year-old has been a live-wire at fullback and centre across the NRLW season, topping the competition with tackle breaks (27) and kick return metres (215), and scored a pivotal try in the club's historic victory against Queensland rivals Brisbane at Cbus Super Stadium.

The former Olympic Gold Medallist has begun rehab on her ankle and has every hope of returning for next weekend's semi-finals should the Titans qualify.

The Gold Coast face off against the Newcastle Knights in a must-win game on Sunday at Suncorp Stadium to close out the regular home and away season.
