Schoolboys trial game to be played before Titans v Eels match this Saturday

The Gold Coast Titans are excited to announce that Saturday's NRL clash with the Parramatta Eels with have an Open's Schoolboys match between two local schools as the curtain raiser. 

Kicking off at 5.15pm, the game will see Marsden State High School take on Marymount College in a final trial before their season gets underway. 

With a number of Future Titans players playing on each team, fans will get the opportunity to watch the next generation of stars take the field ahead of our NRL squad.

Both teams will play in the Titans Surfside Buslines Schools League this year, one of the largest rugby league competitions in the country. 

In total, 114 teams from 30 schools across South-East Queensland will play in the six boys and six girls divisions. 

Both schools have been a breeding ground for talent in years gone by.

The list is endless for Marsden SHS - the NRL's most capped player Cameron Smith and Maroons Jaydn Su'A, Corey Allan and Brenko Lee are just some of the names to be former students of the Logan-based school.

For Marymount, current Titans NRLW marquee player Karina Brown is a proud alumni, as well as Queensland flyer Xavier Coates, and Melbourne Storm great Matt Geyer is the team's coach.

The gate opening time for Saturday night's Titans vs Eels clash will be brought forward to 5pm and fans are invited to enter the ground early to watch the schoolboy match ahead of our Parramatta Eels clash. 

Hospitality and corporate service will begin at the regular time of 90 minutes before NRL kickoff. 

The Titans are out for revenge this Saturday night against the Parramatta Eels at Cbus Super Stadium. Secure your seat now.
