NRL 2022: Titans, Kiwi excitement machine to make Titans debut

Electrifying young gun Paul Turner will make his Gold Coast Titans debut against the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

One of two changes made by Justin Holbrook for the Round 14 clash, the exciting playmaker will partner Toby Sexton in the halves for his first match of the season after joining the club at the start of 2022, in what will be his fourth NRL appearance after previously playing three games for the Warriors.

Greg Marzhew has also been recalled and will play on the wing, replacing Corey Thompson who has been rested for this weekend's must-win matchup against the Rabbitohs.

In other team news, captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui is set to back-up from Origin duty and has been named at lock, which sees Isaac Liu move back to starting prop and Moeaki Fotuaika to the bench, pushing Esan Marsters to the reserves.

It's a fitting club debut for Turner and return for Marzhew - both New Zealand-born backs, with the club proudly wear a specially-designed Pasifika jersey as part of Inspire Round, celebrating the Titans' community programs under the guise of the club's charitable arm Titans Together.

The weekend will also raise money for the NRL Tonga Relief with 20 percent of every Pasifika jersey sold going to the recovery efforts.
