The Gold Coast Titans can confirm Sam Verrills will undergo surgery on Monday after scans revealed the dummy-half fractured his collarbone in Round 2.

Coach Justin Holbrook revealed the news in Saturday's post-match press conference with Chris Randall to take the reins in the No. 9 jersey during his absence - already doing so admirably in the Round 3 win against the Melbourne Storm at Cbus Super Stadium.

No return to play timeframe has been put forward yet for the 24-year-old with that to be determined post-operation.
