Young fans across Northern New South Wales and Southern Queensland have enjoyed meeting their heroes the past few weeks, as Titans NRL and NRLW players visited sporting clubs and schools across the region in the NRL Roads to Regions program.
In total, the Titans met over 4,000 people throughout the week-long program, including 18 schools, 5 junior rugby league clubs and 23 League Star-Inspired Health & Wellbeing programs.
Representing the Gold Coast Titans in the community were current players Aaron Booth, Evania Pelite, and Hailee-Jay Maunsell, and former stars Anthony Don and Corey Thompson.
Through the Roads to Regions program, the players were able to meet young people in regional and remote areas of Australia to support and empower rugby league communities, and to ensure their success and to grow the game.
Fortunately for the Gold Coast Titans, their catchment of Coffs Harbour to Logan is Rugby League Heartland, and the players were meet with sheer excitement from local kids and adults alike.
In total, the Titans representatives spent a combined total of more than 200 hours out in the community and also ran four Junior Rugby League clinics.
The region covered included Grafton, Yamba, McLean, Woolgoolga & Clarence Coast in Northern New South Wales, and Ipswich, Springfield, Rosewood, Walloon & Lowood in South East Queensland.
The 2023 NRL Roads to Regions program was the largest ever delivered, and the Gold Coast Titans were excited to play a role in bringing Rugby League and the stars of the game to regional areas.
