The Gold Coast Titans have signed Thomas Mikaele for the remainder of the 2023 season, with the 25-year-old prop returning home to the Coast.
Mikaele has most recently been playing for the Warrington Wolves in the UK Super League, having previously notched 66 NRL games with Wests Tigers.
The Auckland-born forward played his schoolboy footy at Keebra Park State High School and was part of the 2016 GIO Schoolboy Cup final in a team that also featured Tanah Boyd, David Fifita and Moeaki Fotuaika.
Titans Coach Justin Holbrook says he’s excited to welcome Mikaele to the club.
“We’re thrilled that Thomas has agreed to join us and that he will return to again play footy here on the Coast,” Holbrook said.
“If you’ve seen any of the Super League this season, you’ll know that he is one of the form forwards in the competition and has been playing some great football with Warrington.
“Having a player of Thomas’ skill and experience to bolster our middle forward stocks is a great result for the club and we know that he will have a big impact for us this season.”
