Brimson headlines four Titans aiming for Origin clean sweep

AJ Brimson will represent Queensland for the first time since 2021 after earning a recall into the Maroons side for Game III in Sydney.

One of four Titans aiming to clean sweep the Blues after wrapping up the series in Brisbane, the Titans star was 18th man for the match in Queensland last month and comes into the 17 for Reece Walsh who was ruled out last week due to suspension.

Making his Origin debut wearing the No. 1 jersey in Game I, 2020, the 24-year-old joins fellow teammates Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, David Fifita and Moeaki Fotuaika in his comeback campaign, with the quartet flying to Cairns on Monday for the Maroons' fan day in Far North Queensland.

He joins Corey Horsburgh as the two new faces in the 17, having impressed the Maroons head coach and Queensland selectors with Tom Dearden and J'maine Hopgood also in the squad as the 18th and 19th men.

Game III of the series will be played at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on July 12.
