Titans hooker to undergo surgery in readiness for 2024

Titans hooker Sam Verrills is set to miss the remainder of the season after being sent for clean-out surgery to prepare for 2024.

Working extremely hard to come back from injury in Round 2, Gold Coast medicos have opted for the 24-year-old to go under the knife again to complete necessary maintenance work to get him fully fit for the upcoming pre-season after a disruptive first season in his new colours.

Having recently committed long-term to the club until the end of the 2026 season, the 59-gamer is eager to return to 100 percent fitness and help bring premiership success to the club after winning a title in his debut year at the Roosters.

The Titans are blessed to have both Chris Randall and Kruise Leeming available to fill dummy-half duties for the remainder of the season, with the duo set to be named for this Friday's clash against the Sharks.
