NRL 2023: Titans, Locked in: Fa'asuamaleaui fired up for Titans return

Tino Fa'asuamaleaui is thrilled to be back leading his side after serving his three-week ban, with his Titans teammates equally excited to welcome back their skipper.

Forced to watch Rounds 21-23 from the coach's box, the 23-year-old enforcer is back and his eagerness to return has been noticed by his fellow forwards, especially Isaac Liu.

"Tino has been itching all week to play and it'll be good for us to have him out there," Liu admitted.

The Gold Coast's engine room has also been bolstered by the inclusion of Jaimin Jolliffe from injury, with the Titans blessed with a two-for-one deal in their front row rotation having lost Moeaki Fotuaika for a week after being sent off against the Warriors.

The prop duo are two of three changes made by Jim Lenihan, with Kruise Leeming also earning a recall after Sam Verrills was ruled out earlier in the week to get surgery in readiness for 2024.

With just under 24 hours till kick-off, Jacob Alick, Joe Vuna and Tony Francis have been cut from the extended squad, with no changes expected to the final 17.

Kick-off is at 6pm on Friday at PointsBet Stadium, Sydney.
