Five Future Titans to star in Queensland Schoolboys final

Palm Beach Currumbin will be aiming to lift the Phil Hall Cup for the second time in three years when they face St Patrick's Mackay in Wednesday's Queensland Schoolboy final in Townsville.

Last winning the title in 2021 with a commanding 62-0 victory over St Brendan's College - featuring a number of current Gold Coast stars including Keano Kini and Tom Weaver - the rugby league nursery with be bolstered by the inclusion of five Future Titans for the clash to help continue their rich vein of form which includes four state finals in the past six years.

Sunny Kama, Sam Stephenson, Zane Harrison, Jac Finigan and Ray Puru have all made the journey to North Queensland after taking down 2022 national champions Ipswich State High School last week, starting as favourites against the Aaron Payne Cup champions, who defeated Emmaus College in their qualifier last week.
