Two-try haul builds Kiria-Ratu's confidence for Raiders showdown

Coming off a dominant display against the Eels on Sunday, the Titans will head down to Canberra this week full of confidence.

In her first ever NRLW campaign, young gun Chantay Kiria-Ratu played her role in the Titans' most consistent performance of the season, crossing the line for a double in the 34-12 win.

“The girls really showed up today... it was amazing and to cross for my first ever NRLW try, it just topped it off,” she told titans.com.au.

Paring with the experienced Lauren Brown in the halves, the duo proved unstoppable as they organised the field - especially with the hooker turned halfback starring with two try assists and two line break assists.

“She’s great, she organises it all. We just look at each other and just nod.. it’s pretty easy," Kiria-Ratu said.

Chantay shows and goes

Having to fill the massive void of injured international Taliah Fuimaono who is on a week-by-review to return from an ankle injury, the 18-year-old has been gaining confidence and experience each week in a key playmaking position.

“Its very, very fun but it is also challenging," Kiria-Ratu said.

"I’m trying to learn as much as possible and just enjoy it. The coaches have played a massive role in that.

"They bring my confidence level up and develop me, so big ups to the coaching staff for really helping me.”

This Sunday's clash against the Raiders will prove as the next big test for the rookie as the Titans look to secure a top four finish for the second time in three seasons.
