Fans and front rowers' union helping Elliston rise to top

The Titans are coming off an electrifying win against the Eels at Cbus Super Stadium and are now just one win away from securing a finals berth.

Leading the charge at home last Sunday was powerful prop Jess Elliston - with the Gold Coast forward motivated by the large crowd at home, helping get the 34-12 win against the Eels.

"It was awesome having the members and supporters all there... it really was such an awesome atmosphere," she told titans.com.au.

Coming off the back of what was the side's most consistent game of the season, the Titans will look to hold on the momentum and carry their Round 8 form into their last regular season game.

“It felt like everything was clicking," Elliston said.

"The last couple of games, we weren’t at our full potential, but now is perfect time to be clicking, especially leading into such a hard do or die game."

Matching her form from the 2021 season where she claimed the club's NRLW player of the year, the 25-year-old has been taking charge and leading from the front in the forward pack, hoping to get her side over the line and into another finals series.

“We love our forward pack and I love working with Shan (Shannon Mato) and Gee (Georgia Hale)," Elliston said.

"They both bring the best out of me and their work ethic makes me keep going and going, but I still have a lot to build on.”

Preparing for a must-win game in order to guarantee a top four finish, Elliston is expected an almighty battle in what will be an importnat clash for both sides.

“It definitely will be a tough game... they have an awesome forward pack and some handy backs," she said.

"Zahara Temara runs that team with the likes of Simaima Taufa, so we'll need to do our homework on them and it’ll be a team effort.”
