Grand final star inks two-year extension with Titans

Fresh off scoring a hat-trick in the Hostplus Cup grand final, young Titans flyer Tony Francis has committed to the Gold Coast for a further two seasons.

Yet to make his NRL debut, the 20-year-old showed his strike power in 2023 having scored 21 tries across 22 games for the Burleigh Bears.

The Marsden State High School alum has been part of the Titans development list, but will move into the Top 30 squad in 2024.

Francis fires with grand final hat-trick

Now with 42 games of Hostplus Cup experience across the past two seasons, Francis will be looking to push his case for an NRL debut in 2024.

The young outside back will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of his good mate Alofiana Khan-Pereira who took his try-scoring form from the Queensland Cup to first grade with a breakout season in 2023.

Francis is also in contention for the Tonga A team to face off against New Zealand A on October 21.

He’ll return to pre-season on the Gold Coast in November.
