The Titans have continued to bolster their NRLW roster ahead of the pre-season with rising rookie Takoda Thompson joining Karyn Murphy's squad for the next two seasons.

The 18-year-old young gun joined the club's female academy at the start of 2025 after an impressive junior career on the Sunshine Coast, winning back-to-back player of the year honours in the Harvey Norman Under 19 Premiership with the Falcons.

Not only excelling in the Gold Coast's pathways program, the versatile forward's on-field success also earned her recent selection in the Queensland Under 19 Emerging women's squad; now vying Maroons selection for the upcoming junior Origin in June.

Murphy is excited to welcome Thompson to her top 24 squad.

"Takoda is one of the game's brightest prospects and I'm thrilled to have her join the Titans," she said.

"She's a hard worker and continually excels in a number of effort areas, including placing a huge emphasis on defence, and her ability to play in the back row and at lock will be hugely advantageous for us.

"She'll also have a great opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by the likes of experienced duo Georgia Hale and Shaylee Bent and our coaching staff to help continue growing her career.

"Away from the game, she's also driven to achieve success off the field balancing her sporting career with disability care and completing a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutrition and Exercise, so we're extremely delighted to welcome Takoda to our squad for the next two years."
