The Titans will welcome promising young half Zane Harrison to their top 30 squad for the next two years after an impressive first full-time NRL season.
The talented playmaker is a proud product of the club’s development pathways as a Northern Rivers junior and has been a Titan since age 15, already boasting an astute rugby league resume that includes helping Palm Beach Currumbin State High School to Queensland and National Schoolboy Cup success in 2024.
In that scintillating schoolboy season, the 19-year-old also claimed the Peter Sterling Medal in the grand final, adding to his title success as captain of the Tweed Seagulls in the Mal Meninga Cup earlier last year.
Representing New South Wales in the Under 19 Origin and making his Hostplus Cup debut with 11 appearances for Tweed this season, Harrison has impressed with his maturity and game management and is eager to continue growing under new coach Josh Hannay.
"I’ve learnt so much in my first full-time season here at the Titans and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead after making my Hostplus Cup debut earlier this year," he said.
"Getting the chance to watch and train alongside guys like Kieran Foran, AJ Brimson and Jayden Campbell has been unreal too. They’ve helped me a lot with learning how to take control of a game.
"Coming through the system and having always been a Titan, my goal is to make my NRL debut here on the Gold Coast.
"While I’m in no rush to do that and just want to keep learning and earning the respect of my teammates, the chance to get that opportunity is what drives me every day."
Harrison’s elevation from a development player to the top 30 squad continues the club’s focus on developing and retaining the next generation of Titans talent.
