Eddy Pettybourne is hoping to overcome the corked thigh suffered in the round one clash with Newcastle Knights and come into contention for Saturday’s clash with Wests Tigers.

Pettybourne has been kept off his legs since the round one clash but his fitness will be checked tomorrow.

Nathan Davis suffered a shoulder injury in last Sunday’s clash in Melbourne and is in some doubt for the Tigers match, his progress will be monitored in coming days.

There were no other injuries from the weekend at NRL or Intrust Super Cup level.

Jeff Lynch was found to have suffered a back injury the previous weekend, playing for Burleigh Heads and may be out for another fortnight.

Nene Macdonald returned with no issues against the Storm after being out since the All Stars clash in mid-February with a knee injury.
