Aquis Gold Coast Titans coach Neil Henry has been forced to select an extended bench for Friday’s big local derby against Brisbane Broncos (7.05pm) at Cbus Super Stadium with injury and judiciary developments to determine the likely final make-up of the squad.

Ryan James will contest his grade 1 dangerous contact charge from a tackle on Jordan Rapana in Saturday's victory against Canberra Raiders. With his previous loading, the charge accrued 105 points if James took an early plea and 140 points if found guilty.

Tyrone Roberts is also battling to be fit after sustaining a knee injury against the Raiders and coach Henry will await the results of scans to be taken today and Roberts’ recovery before knowing if he can take his spot.

Co-captain and hooker Nathan Friend also has to get through contact training before a decision will be made on his fitness.

Cameron Cullen, Kierran Moseley and Eddy Pettybourne have been included in a seven-man bench announced today as cover for James, Roberts and Friend.

A big crowd is expected for the M1 derby and fans are encouraged to buy tickets online to save queues at the turnstiles.

Also there is a holiday to Thailand to be won, courtesy of jersey sponsor TripADeal, by those attending the match which is part of the NRL’s Super Hero round. Membership partner Village Roadshow Theme Parks will also be giving away a row of Movieworld tickets and super hero masks (Batman and Green Lantern) will be provided to children.
