Lock forward Ryan Simpkins is happy with his role in the team at present and says whatever he needs to do, to stop the other teams attack, he'll do.

Simpkins has settled into the lock position since returning from a rib injury earlier in the year and has made the jersey his own with a number of strong performances in the middle.

After wondering if he had a future in the NRL after last season, the 28-year-old is happy he he chose to take up the option of another year at the club.
