Halfback Ash Taylor was ecstatic with the victory over the Broncos last Sunday but the Toowoomba local knows it’s on again this week the focus needs to be on the Sea-Eagles.

The club will take their second ‘home’ match to Gladstone this weekend with the side to head north on Friday, ahead of the match on Sunday.

“All the boys are over that now and we’ve shifted to getting ready for Manly,” Taylor said. “They’ve been tremendous and we need to bring a similar attitude to what we had last week.”

Coach Garth Brennan mentioned post-match that he wanted his side to enjoy the moment of victory after what had been a tough week at training and Taylor agreed.

“We definitely brought a better attitude and we showed that when we do that we can play some decent footy. We wanted to stick it to them and the forwards did a great job, giving us halves some extra space.”

The Sea-Eagles also hold a two wins, two losses record to start 2018 and both sides will be keen to get the victory.

“It starts up front with them with big Marty Taupau and Jake Trbojevic and then they’ve got some speed out wide with Brian Kelly and Cherry-Evans controls it all.
